Rishworth House Primary School is one of Zimbabwe’s up-and-coming private schools with aspirations of becoming a prominent contender amongst the leading independent schools.

The school was founded in 2015 on a property in the tranquil and scenic suburb of Hogerty Hill and has panoramic views of Borrowdale Brooke and beyond. It is a Christian, co-educational and multi-racial day school made up of the ECD Department (Nursery, ECD A and ECD B) and the Junior School Department (Grades 1-7).

Registered with Cambridge as a Global English Preparation Centre, the school offers the ZIMSEC primary education syllabus – fully implemented from ECD through to Grade 7 – together with Cambridge Primary Maths, Cambridge Primary Science and Cambridge Global English. Art, VPA and ICT are part of the curriculum and are also taught from ECD to Grade 7. We have experienced and dedicated staff and our classroom teacher-to-pupil ratios are below 1:20, for more individualised learning which helps to promptly identify pupils’ strengths and weaknesses.

A variety of clubs, as well as several sporting options, are offered to pupils in the afternoons. Sporting facilities include a field and two multi-purpose courts for tennis, basketball, netball, volleyball and indoor-style hockey. An eight-lane, 25-metre swimming pool is under construction.

Students and staff are also involved in regular educational trips and social responsibility is encouraged through organised community engagement activities and partnerships.

The school provides lunch from the canteen on request and a reliable bus service is in operation.
